My husband, an airline pilot, took me along with him for a 24-hour layover in Boston, and it was pure magic. We squeezed in these three must-see spots:

  • Boston Common: This historic park, the oldest in the US, is a serene oasis amidst the city’s hustle and bustle. We strolled along its paths, soaking in the history and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. It’s the perfect starting point for exploring, as it’s where the Freedom Trail begins.
  • Faneuil Hall Marketplace/Quincy Market: While the shopping leans towards souvenirs, this bustling marketplace is a feast for the senses. The vibrant atmosphere and diverse food options make it a must-visit for any foodie.
  • Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park: With stunning waterfront views, a well-maintained playground, and inviting park areas, this is the perfect spot to relax and watch the city lights twinkle across the water. It’s truly magical.

24 hours in Boston may seem short, but it was an exhilarating experience. From the historical significance of Boston Common to the vibrant atmosphere of Faneuil Hall and the picturesque beauty of the waterfront park, we were enchanted by this city’s unique blend of history, culture, and charm.

We stayed at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf. This was our view from our room. 😍
